1893 Print Chicago World's Fair Liberty Mission Bell - ORIGINAL HISTORIC FAR1 XAQ7 both had learned to engraveA Missionary of Liberty This is an original 1894 halftone print showing a replication of the Liberty Bell, which hung in Independence Hall for many years. The idea of casting such a bell originated with Mr. W. O. McDowell of Newark, New Jersey, who was inspired by his son who left Independence Hall with a small bell upon his visit. McDowell organized a Bell Committee in which people contributed material, including metal from revolutionary relics,
