The album is inspired equally by late 70s R&B, yacht rock, baroque pop, and psychedelic soul. Wade specifically cites Steely Dan, The New Birth, The Kinks, Randy Nemwan, Bruno Berle, Ned Doheny, Rob Galbraith,
