All wines are aged in oak barrels

from some of the region’s oldest vines

Most of the Chardonnay clones were planted in 1987 with the addition of some Pinot blanc more recently in an attempt to more truly emulate a classic Burgundian white vineyard

The Riesling was harvested two weeks later and was foot-trodden before pressing and used to top the fermenting barrels of Auxerrois/Gewürztraminer - in a mix of French and Oregon oak

The shape softens the experience of acidity to bring forward the supple and sweet fruit of red wines

2017 Le Piane, Boca, Piedmont, Italy J.J. Prum All wines are aged inmaceration on the skins for 30 days both in open wooden vats and in stainless with punching down 3 times per day. No yeasts added. Aging: 48 months aging in the cellar with 36 months of this in wooden casks and 12 months in the bottle.
