Ernest is a standing 100 watt lamp for the purpose of chromotherapy. Original advertising described the lamp as a "Portable Combination Instrument" producing "controlled projected rays of cool sunshine." The Chromaray focuses light through colored lenses to exemplify sunshine on dreary days or in cold climates. Despite a patent suit in 1937, E. A. Ernest continued to sell his therapy lamps into the
