Jean-Francois Jacouton Syrah A Deux Pas 2023 MENU Excellent value ReposadoA deux pas' means 'a stone's throw,' and that is precisely where these vines sit relative to Saint Joseph. Jean Francois Jacouton grew up working his grandfather's Saint Joseph parcels, took over the family vines in 2003, and began bottling under his own name in 2010. This Syrah comes from 35 year old vines on granite and alluvial soils in the Ardeche, just outside the famous appellation lines. The winemaking is old school and unfussy: fully
