1907 Ad Abel Bach Suitcase No 1102 Walrus Leather - ORIGINAL ADVERTISING CL4 MCC2 Ink by Ault & WiborgThis is an original 1907 black and white print ad for Abel & Bach's travel cases, specially featuring travel suitcase model No. 1102, which is made with Black Walrus and lined with extra fine silk. The use of walrus skin was abused by American and European hunters during the 18th and 19th centuries, and nearly led to the animal's distinction. Today, such activity is prohibited, though, unfortunately, some illegal whaling and sealing still exists.
