encapsulated and graded by PCGS at MS 64

Five years later it was discovered that these coins had been struck on specially prepared dies

Interestingly the "Weak D", though less desirable than the "Strong D", is considerably more scarce. I'd put the strength of the mintmark in this case at slightly above average when compared to other "Weak D" coins. Nice original coin, key to the series, and perhaps most pleasingly "right priced"
