The rear sight appears to have been removed and the screw holes properly plugged when the adjustable tang sight was fitted

Copied from the US M1 this helmet has had a three point chinstrap fitted

The silvering to the frame is still mostly bright

This is a very nice example of a Wehrmacht Trench lantern, painted in the later war tan einheitsfarbe 43 (uniform color 43), which shows some great wear from age and use. The small lantern features 3 small windows, each of which has a bezel on the outside for the insertion of a blackout shield, which normally would be stored in the compartment at the rear.
