Title is in very good condition with a couple minor moth holes as can be seen in the photos

The stag colors though are quite beautiful and the edges are gold from age

though they do show wear

This same number also appears on the top mount of the brass mounted scabbard

or AAT 52 well before the other major powers

This is an interesting piece of Imperial German Officers headgear. This is a standard issue enlisted M 1895 pickelhaube which at one point was taken to be used as an ersatz officers helmet if you will. The early M 1895 helmet is fitted with a brass Wappen, spike, and trim. Officers chinscales were installed at some point, converting this to look similar to an officers helmet.
