which just make it better

Super sturdy and no splits or cracks that I can see

but they look pretty engaged with it

7 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" deep and weighs about 5 pounds

Done by a Barbara Lewis 1930s or so I would guess, probably for a home economics sort of class, if features 18 pages of simple sewing exercises and fabric samples, from cross stitches to four squares, seersucker to chinz.
