and a bit elusive too--I am not entirely certain whether done in pastels with some sort of fixative over them or finely spatter painted

and which seem to reflect two distinct personalties

with gears in the middle that turned a shaft and powered the thresher

Blue and Gold Antique Finely Woven Paper Cross Dorman hardware storage Quite a piece of historyI'd never seen a woven paper cross until this summer, when I found one in Pennsylvania, and now, here, another, in just the right cobalt blue and gold, making me think of Giotto's Assisi frescoes! Beautifully done, with those wonderful thorn like flags at the end of each thin strip of paper. Lovely. 3 1 2" x 2 7 8". Very good condition on both sides.
