and there is a small size tag with 44 embroidered on in red thread

once a few troops injured themselves

The breast feathering on this fine bird has been nicely hand enhanced

the Japanese characters for 3 (san) and 7 (nana)

Very well done cutaway display made from a Confederate cannonball. This is a 4. 52 Shell used with the twelve pound Napoleon Artillery Piece. The shell is fitted with a fuse, which is still present, and still filled with the original shot! This item was excavated, so the iron surface is pitted from being underground for well over a century. Lead zinc fuse band shows ground action on exterior, so no numbers remain
