but he's been given a great hat

and 4 1/4" diameter and is in excellent condition

the highest number of them is 43

I think perhaps they may have been inspired by the famous 1810 match between Tom Cribb & Tom Molyneux

Carved Old Wooden Whimsey with Blow Hole and Spinning Wheel great gift I'd guess it dates toA curious little whimsey, unlike any other I've seen. One on side are two holes blowing through the top one sets the hand carved little wheel spinning, fast! On the opposite long side is a sliding panel, like on a slide top box, which opens just to reveal nothing really, just enough space to put maybe a secret note or photo inside. The wood is worn and aged and the wheel looks slightly crooked, but structurally its all in great shape and really a cool
