This is an old lady, dating to the 1830s or 1840s, now in smooth bore but may have started as a rifle in the beginning. The very heavy octagonal barrel measures 33 1 2" and the weapon is 51" in overall length. The percussion lock is a Trade lock still bearing WARRANTED and is also engraved with a Maker's name that starts with a "W", but appears to have been altered.
