I'm not entirely certain what is going on in this evocative little watercolor

I had a great old wooden cutout bluebird in the shop a few months ago

The vase is signed with what looks like "Sena" on the bottom

Fine Antique Cut and Spatter Painted Paper Star antique green paint I'm not entirely certain whatOne of a few paper cuts and paper weavings found in Pennsylvania a few weeks ago, just about the most charming I've seen. The orange paper used for this finely cut star within a star appears to have been spatter painted with black (which I recently learned was often done by blowing through a glass tube, like a straw, a technique often used in watercolor theorems.) A very lovely thing, 19th c., most worthy of a good frame. Approx. 4 1 4" tall and wide.
