Mingrone, who served with the 2nd Battalion, 15th Marine Regiment, 6th Marine Division during World War II. Mingrone enlisted on April 17th, 1943 and was sent with the Corps Replacement Battalion, Transient Center, Imac, before arriving at the Fourth Marine Depot Company, Fleet Marine Force, Noumea, New Caledonia. From here he joined the Third
