This is a lovely "salty" service used example of a WWII Australian Issue Machete, often referred to as a Machete 15 Inch in Australian Army parlance. Correctly marked with a DD "Broad arrow" and dated 1944, these machetes are quite difficult to find on this side of the globe, especially with the original canvas scabbard.
