Fun Graphics, Very Scarce c. 1920s British "Ice Breaker" Card Game carving target faded blue and red paintThis set of "Sportette" cards was produced by the Scottish publishing company Valentine & Sons, Ltd., best known for topographical postcards, but which also produced parlor games, novelty cards, and miniature sports sets. I guess the point of this "ice breaker" game was to identify the sport for which the piece of equipment pictured was associated. (And maybe then to go one to play the sport this card game just breaking the ice!) I really like the
