Constructed of gilded and silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse bearing a central oval white enameled medallion, situated within a brown enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of HJ, overlaid by a silvered German national eagle clutching an enameled HJ insignia, flanked by oak leaves, the reverse with three visible rivets securing the obverse applique in position, with a rectangular plate
