Germany, Imperial. A Field-Made Wound Badge, Silver Grade Hold Triangular white cotton patch sewn(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silver magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36. 88 mm (w) x 41. 77 mm (h), weighing 6. 0 grams, loss of silver finish evident, in overall very fine condition.
