Constructed of a coppered bronze alloy, the obverse bearing a central raised National Socialist Flyers Corps insignia, circumscribed by inscriptions of NATIONALSOZIALISTISCHES FLIEGERKORPS and ZIELSTRECKEN SEGELFLUG WETTBEWERB 1938 (TARGETED GLIDING COMPETITION 1938), the reverse bearing an inscription of MIT UNSEREM FHRER IM GLEICHEN SCHRITT UND TRITT FLIEGER WIR FR UNSER EWIGES
