A Japanese Order of the Rising Sun, Third Class in silver with a red cabochon centerpiece and a white enamelled star. The star is affixed to an enamelled Paulownia Flowers suspension consisting of three groupings of purple flowers with characters on the reverse. The medal is on its period neck ribbon with clasp. The enamels are intact and the medal measures at 54mm (w) x 86mm (h to
