Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A Galipoli Star, By B.b.&Co, C.1917 Newly Listed In leather wrapped metal(Harp Madalyas). Instituted in 1915. Five piece construction, in silvered bronze with red enamels, ball finials on the tips of the star points, "B. B.&Co" (unidentified maker) on the reverse, measuring 57. 3 mm (w) x 55 mm (h), horizontal pinback, intact enamels, very light contact, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Gallipolli Star was a military decoration awarded by the Ottoman Empire. It is also known as the Ottoman War Medal. It was instituted by
